Things on Thongs – 70x70cm

The Pop Surrealism images I create have always involved the water. Growing up in Newcastle, and my father being a crane driver on the wharves inculcated a love of the ocean. My works often seem like a world after the flood, devoid of humans, and filled with the random detritus of society. ‘Things on Thongs’ is inspired by Sydney Harbour and the love of the beach and harbour that Sydneysiders possess. The thongs are suggestive of human movement and the objects on them are repesentative of a range of human interests and pursuits
