Australian sculpture
Living on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, inspiration to express ‘a zest for life’ is bountiful. My sculptures are about evoking inner amusement, a connection to your own moments of lightness and wonderful abandonment.

In 2015, after years of creating in ceramics, carving and glasswork, I started sculpting and learning the art of mould making at Sydney Art Space. Once my hands started creating animal and human forms it felt like coming home. I love the attention to detail in facial expressions, muscle movement and the art of capturing the emotion in the moment. My desire to create sculptures that are timeless in their individuality has led me to the strength and resilience of bronze as my preferred medium of expression.

Brenda’s playful works have won her ‘People’s Choice’ in numerous exhibitions. She was also awarded for her work in the Northern Beaches Council Totem Arts Festival 2019 and Finalist in the Hunter Valley 2021 Sculpture in the Vineyards. Her commissioned works are represented in private collections in USA, South Africa and Australia.
