TAMLIN, Ross
Ross Tamlin chose to live in Kyogle which is part of the Northern Rivers area. Working from this beautiful and tranquil environment, he produces art for the many art galleries and has had many successful solo exhibitions.
In 2005, Ross was awarded the Northern Rivers Bentley Art Prize for his corrugated iron painting
titled, Opera. This work is part of a series in which he paints this familiar Australian icon from a modern perspective.
His most recent work was inspired by the disappearing landscapes of old Sydney. The harbour shipping ports with their working wharves and the industrial icons of White bay and the inner city.
Ross Tamlins work is part of private and corporate collections in Australia, New Zealand, the UK., Switzerland and Hong Kong. He was also invited to be part of The Awakening, an exhibition of work by Australian artists which was held at the Australian High Commission in London.
