Kiss The Sky – 101x101cm

Artist Statement: During the Covid lockdown, I began a series of pool paintings inspired by a photoshoot with my daughter during that challenging time. The interplay of light and reflections in the sparkling water captivated me, offering a sense of serenity and beauty amidst the uncertainty we were all feeling. Each painting in the series featured a cheerful pop of color—a small but meaningful antidote to the heaviness of those strange times. Though I thought the series was complete, I’ve returned to it, realizing that we still crave moments of optimism and joy. This painting continues the celebration of light, colour, and the quiet moments that lift our spirits.
