Deep Down – 50x70cm

We all wonder what lies beneath the surface, down where it’s dark, down where we can’t see. For me, water is therapy, to release the mind while the body is buoyant. These days I take a film camera older than me into the murky depths. It’s a loving ritual, deep breaths, single salty moments distilled to an image – forever. I massively underexposed the film for this image, no post processing, loving the tangible, tactile nature of the process. The slow result is just as imagined.
